LINE STATUS TESTER: In TEST mode, this Ethernet tester can intuitively check for open circuits, short circuits, missing wires, and reverse connections using 18 line sequence indicator lights. It can also function as a continuity tester for cables or wires, and as a phone line tester to identify the status of a working telephone line (clear, ring, busy) and determine the TIP or RING line. It can test the positive and negative polarity of the DC level.

WIRE NETWORK CABLE TRACER: In SCAN mode, this cable tracker can accurately trace wires or cables among messy lines and quickly detect breakpoints without stripping the cable sheath. It works with RJ11, RJ45, and BNC terminals or other metal wires using an adapter. It can trace wires directly from weak current devices like Ethernet switches, routers, or PCs. Note: Do not use on strong live circuits.

MULTIFUNCTIONAL & EASY TO OPERATE: This line finder can trace Ethernet LAN wires, as well as electrical and speaker wires when using the alligator clip. Wires must be powered off to prevent damage. It is recommended to strip a small section of wire when connecting with the clip. Select “SCAN”; the emitter works properly if the “SCAN” indicator is on; then use the receiver to locate target wires.
